Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Not Another Nordic Snowflake Dress - Day 16

A couple for days ago I shared a Nordic style snowflake dress with you, I have another one today.  The pattern is different from those you have seen before.

This dress is made from 4 ply cotton and is based on the Julie Williams basic dress pattern, as before, my problem is that I cannot remember where I found all of these different snowflake designs.

I have made these dresses in the original Season Dresses design.  It is tighter than the other dresses I have made and to accommodate the Little Cotton Rabbits tail a hole must be left in the back seam of the dress.

Each dress is fastened at the back with a tiny button.

  1. I nearly asked if we could see the back of the dress and here it is. Unbelievably cute! Very pretty snowflakes and the background has the loom of the sky clouding over as it is about to snow. X

  2. Oh dear, it is confession time. I am afraid the camera lied on this occassion, the dress is more moss green than grey, the camera changed the colour a bit. So less moody skies than mouldy background!
