Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Vintage Jaguar Car

Good grief, I think winter has returned.  In fact, because we had such a mild winter, the weather we have been experiencing is actually worse than the winter.  We have had hail, sleet and snow.  I have been lucky because none of the snow has settled, but severe weather warnings have been issued for other parts of the country.  The last couple of evenings have been very cold here.

I am still experimenting with cards using a single colour, this idea came to me when I was thinking about the current Crafty Boots Monochrome Challenge.

This lovely Vintage Jaguar Car image came from Delicious Doodles.  I coloured it with a red Promarker and then mounted it on some silver mirri and some Real Red card from Stampin' Up.  The backing papers also came from Stampin' Up.  The sentiment was printed on my computer and the Card Candy is from Craftwork Cards.

There is still plenty of time for you to enter your monochrome projects in the Craft Boots Challenge.

Good luck.

  1. Got caught in a massive hail/sleet/rain storm at Fenchurch St today and, of course, not umbrella!!! However, it was warmer in the smoke than up here. Loving your colourful monochrome cards, so clever. This would be perfect for my colleague who bought a new red jag last year. Keep warm xx

    1. Ahh Fenchurch Street, never thought I would miss that place but you have made me feel quite nostalgic. I tried to create more shine on the paintwork but, for once, I could not get it to work!
